Today we wish to share a very interesting image that we found in the Science Photo Library database. It is a photo of the most common Soviet Gold Bars (Soviet Gold Bullion) that existed in USSR.

"These gold bars are from the collection of the Russian State Precious Metals and Gemstones Collection Fund, part of the Russian Finance Ministry. Russia's gold reserve is estimated to be worth hundreds of billions of US dollars. Photographed in Moscow, in March 2010."

SALES - LARGE SOVIET GOLD COLLECTION SOLD ON EBAY

This week everyone witnessed a fire-sale of a large Soviet Gold Jewelry collection on eBay. In fact we written about this sale in our November 11 report (SOVIET GOLD BUYING FRENZY ON EBAY!) as it was happening.

This event once again showed the potential of the Soviet Jewelry market. Each auctioned item had over 20 bids, revealing buyers desire for Soviet Gold. Furthermore, although the final sales prices were in the range of $100-$200 dollars, the items themselves were fairly small, and most had gemstones half the size and wight of these gold items. Another interesting fact that should be mentioned is, almost all items sold were - earrings. We have been tracking this trend for over a year now, and these sales only confirm that Soviet Gold Earrings are in very high demand with buyers.

Also we wish to show you several other past sales, so you can see how the Soviet Jewelry market is developing overall. From this data it can be concluded that there is a definite buyers consensus on small Soviet Gold pieces that are priced between $80-$250 dollars. We believe that because these type of items are the most affordable, buyers not only find them easier to buy but also to resell.

A large collection is being sold piece by piece at bargain prices and the crowd is going wild. Almost every Soviet Gold item from this seller is with 5-20 bids. Above that, the collection was listed for sale yesterday and the buyers acted almost instantly. This is very unusual because on eBay professional buyer usually wait until the last minute to bid on an item in order to get the best deal and avoid competition. That is not the case now. It looks like an all out bidding war for these Soviet Jewelry pieces started right from the start.

This a the second time a large collection is “dumped” on the market and once again it is bought up lighting fast by gold jewelry collectors, investors and traders. Unquestionably the market is heating up like never before so invest, invest and invest!

The seller [eBay ID: babken-1986] is from Armenia, we haven’t dealt with him before. That said we have purchased Soviet Jewelry from Armenia in the past and can say that everything went smoothly for us. Items arrived on time, intact and exactly as described. Also this seller has 100% positive feedback, which is a very good indicator. Because the prices at which this seller is liquidating his or her Soviet Gold items are simply incredible - we strongly suggest participating in these auctions.
