SOVIET GOLD SALES IN UKRAINE - Prices are stable amidst severe inflation

Despite massive inflation, civil war and collapsing economy, the Soviet gold jewellery market in Ukraine - is persevering! USSR watches, rings, earrings, chains, etc, are being bought and sold all over the country, even in the most Western regions like Lviv, where the dislike for everything Soviet and Russian is all times high. Non the less, gold is gold and money is money.

While the Ukrainian hryvnia is loosing value rapidly, and inflation is continuing to get worse, the prices on Soviet jewelry have remained stable, not changing much since this crisis began. Certainly, with nationwide unemployment and civil unrest many people are left without jobs and savings, resulting in higher sales of jewellery items (many of which are of Soviet origin). Still, much to our surprise, prices that are being paid for these historic collectibles have remained unchanged. We believe that's because just as many Ukrainians are actually buying Soviet gold in order to save their money from inflation. This is resulting in an increased demand for gold jewelry from USSR, despite the influx of such items on the Ukrainian market. Once again all of this only proves that Soviet gold and silver jewelry is an investment that can withstand, not just a crisis but a civil war - without loosing its value!
