In this report we really wish to thank our readers, who almost instantly responded to our latest news about Soviet medals being bought by North American auctions. Right away we got links to sales of high-end Soviet medals, that are taking or recently took place around the world. Most of these very expansive and unique USSR medals are being bought and sold in the United States, however one sale, that captured our attention, took place in Ukraine at an online auction called "Violity", just several days ago! But don't take our word for it, see for yourself: Here we have a country in complete crisis and yet Soviet collectibles are being traded regardless of the situation. Could it be that Soviet gold and silver medals, jewelry and art is so profitable that it is above the politics and economy. We sure think so and have been saying exactly that for years! Take a look at yet another example, now of a Soviet gold watch that was sold on March 12, 2014 for $755 USD: Disclaimer: We have no vested financial interests in these sales.

This month many Canadians received an interesting flyer in their mailbox. It was from a company called "International Auction" that is based in St-Nicolas, Quebec. International Auction is a family business with 20 years experience in buying and selling gold, silver, coins, sports memorabilia and other collectible items. They travel around Canada and actively buy collectibles and valuable items for which, they say, they are offering the highest amounts on the market. If you were to visit their website (www.internationalauction.ca) one picture will standout above the rest - it's a lineup of gold and silver medals from the USSR. Indeed, Soviet medals have been steadily growing in value, especially in the West, where more and more collectors are expressing interest in the Soviet memorabilia. This is especially true in light of recent events in Ukraine. The NATO vs Russia rivalry is reigniting the Cold War nostalgia in many American and European collectors, which is creating a great demand for Soviet art. Above that, Russian art buyers, that feel a great deal of patriotism, due to Russia's victories in Syria, Sochi and now Crimea, are on the hunt for Soviet rarities as well. Buying USSR medals is a matter of history and pride for them. So what does all of this mean? The answer is simple - a hot market in the East and West! An identical situation already happened last year, by the way. Make sure to read our report: US RUSSIA FACE-OFF IN SYRIA, COLD WAR NOSTALGIA AND FRAIL STOCK MARKETS ARE CAUSING HIGHER DEMAND FOR SOVIET GOLD! Medals from the Soviet Union, especially those that are made of gold and silver are rare, unique, artistic and quite expansive. That said, because their value is still growing, investing in such collectibles is always a smart move. In fact, we ourselves are doing just that. Take a look at this acquisition report where we bought a collection of Soviet silver medals: WE BOUGHT A COLLECTION OF SOVIET SILVER MEDALS In light of the above said we strongly recommend purchasing Soviet gold and silver medals, as away of diversifying your collection and portfolio. These unique collectibles will only grow in value! Disclaimer: All statements in this report are an opinion. Act at your own risk.
Special Report by Soviet Jewelry News www.SovietJewelry.com SPECIAL REPORT 2014 || BUYERS ALERT Although we always took Soviet silver jewellery market seriously, we have to admit that until now, we treated it as a secondary market, next to Soviet gold. In our eyes Soviet silver was like a little brother that was always playing catch-up. As of now all of that has changed. Across all markets Soviet silver has nearly doubled, if not tripled, in value! This happened just recently, in the very beginning of 2014, right after the biggest holiday season of the year. From the looks of it, on average, prices are holding high with no signs of coming down. We even dare to say that right now, gram per gram, Soviet silver is much more profitable than Soviet gold jewellery. Why? It is easier on the wallet and thus has a larger audience. There is defiantly a clear fan base that is largely exclusive to Soviet silver and there are in general a lot of silver collectors and investors that prefer/like this metal above its "golden brother". Last but not least, we ourselves have been working hard to ignite a passion as well as consumerism for Soviet silver jewellery, work that is beginning to yield tangible results. Now, on to the much anticipated market analysis. We analyzed a large majority of Soviet silver jewellery markets and can confirm this as an official trend that is happening all over the globe. To demonstrate this we will focus on eBay as the central international marketplace for Soviet silver. To locate Soviet silver jewellery listings on eBay.com we did the most accurate search using these key word "soviet silver 875". Search was done on January 16, 2014. What did we discover? Astonishingly, out of 228, listed for sale, Soviet silver items - only 8 were below $30 dollar value. All other 220 items were priced between 30 - 2600 dollars, averaging out at about 90 dollars per small item! That in itself is a massive jump, simply because only 6 months ago the market average was no more that 45 dollars per item and a lot of Soviet silver jewellery could be purchased for as low as 15-25 dollars. Now there are only 8 items that cheap. What can we say, other than - we told you so. In fact our early 2013 slogan for Soviet silver was "A New Opportunity" we kept, it going into the 2014, because from the looks of it the Soviet silver market has much more growth ahead. Thus, it is still very much a new opportunity that you can easily invest in right now. Considering that you can buy Soviet silver jewellery for 30-100 dollars per time, there is no good excuse not to. Don't like collecting, fine, buy Soviet silver as an precious metal / art investment. We estimate that prices on many of these unique historic items will continue to grow to a point where on average Soviet silver jewellery will be worth between 500 - 5000 dollars. Don't believe it, just look at our Soviet gold predictions and how many of them came true. The fact of the matter is Soviet silver is a limited supply market - what was made was made. No more will come to existence. That means prices on these unique jewellery pieces will only continue to grow - so buy while the market is free of forgeries and imitations. We certainly are! Visit our "We Bought" category on our News page to see what Soviet silver and gold jewellery we already purchased into our collection. Which by the way is the largest private Soviet Gold and Silver Collection in the World! WE LEAD BY EXAMPLE
We Buy Soviet Gold & Silver Jewellery So should you! Disclaimer: We have no vested financial interests in these sales. All statements in this report are an opinion. Act at your own risk. Special Report by Soviet Jewelry News SovietJewelry.com/news December was a hot month for the Soviet gold market. A lot of Soviet gold and silver jewelry was sold. Many sellers, in order to come up with extra cash for the holidays, gave great bargains on their jewelry pieces, and yet there were still some stunning high-end sales that pushed the upper limits. One of such sales took place on Dec 14 when an emerald and diamond set, shown below was sold for $1,200 dollars. Those who are interested to see it in greater detail, stay tuned for our next report where we will post larger images of this beautiful Soviet jewellery set. A few words about some market trends that we've noticed. Majority of buy/sell activity seems to happen on the extremes of the spectrum. On one end, as you will see below, buyers without hesitation purchase all cheap Soviet gold (items that are offered for $100-300). Who would blame them, with expected rise of popularity and value of these unique items, it is a very lucrative thing to do. Then, at about $400 to $600 price range the market evens out and sales happen less frequent, before it picks up again for very high-end items with price tags of $700-2000 and above (like the jewelry set below). Both collectors and investors seem to have a strong appetite for these Soviet gold masterpieces. Note: only a small fraction of Soviet Gold sales are shown below. Screenshot Copyrights © eBay.com

Report by Soviet Jewelry News www.SovietJewelry.com Please note that this is not a complete list of Soviet Gold Jewelry sales on eBay for November and October.
This sale is interesting because a fairly small Soviet Gold Ring was sold for over $400 US, if we include shipping charges. Also, it is important to note the impact of professional photography and presentation of the item. Unquestionably, a well presented item has a much higher probability of sale, and for higher price, that identical item that is shown poorly (sellers take note). Lastly, this small Soviet Gold wedding ring, weighing only 2 grams, is of interest to us because it continues the trend of high demand for inexpensive gold jewelry made in the USSR. This trend was detected in the beginning of November and published in our last sales report (LARGE SOVIET GOLD COLLECTION SOLD ON EBAY - 11/15/2013).

Report by Soviet Jewelry News SovietJewelry.com/news This week everyone witnessed a fire-sale of a large Soviet Gold Jewelry collection on eBay. In fact we written about this sale in our November 11 report (SOVIET GOLD BUYING FRENZY ON EBAY!) as it was happening. This event once again showed the potential of the Soviet Jewelry market. Each auctioned item had over 20 bids, revealing buyers desire for Soviet Gold. Furthermore, although the final sales prices were in the range of $100-$200 dollars, the items themselves were fairly small, and most had gemstones half the size and wight of these gold items. Another interesting fact that should be mentioned is, almost all items sold were - earrings. We have been tracking this trend for over a year now, and these sales only confirm that Soviet Gold Earrings are in very high demand with buyers. Also we wish to show you several other past sales, so you can see how the Soviet Jewelry market is developing overall. From this data it can be concluded that there is a definite buyers consensus on small Soviet Gold pieces that are priced between $80-$250 dollars. We believe that because these type of items are the most affordable, buyers not only find them easier to buy but also to resell. Disclaimer: We have no vested financial interests in these sales. Report by Soviet Jewelry News www.SovietJewelry.com SOVIET GOLD & LIQUID GOLD – WHAT DOES WHISKY AND SOVIET JEWELRY MARKETS HAVE IN COMMON?Sometimes our Soviet Jewelry team gets together over a bottle of good whisky to strategize, discuss and plan our business. One Friday evening, as one glass lead to another we started to see parallels between what we were drinking and what we are promoting. Did we have one too many? Or is there something to our discovery. You be the judge…

Report by Soviet Jewelry News SovietJewelry.com/news Today, we saw the smallest amount of Soviet Gold Jewelry listed for sale this year [on eBay]. Only 36 items! Furthermore, PRICES ARE BACK UP! Many items are priced well above $600 US. What does this all mean? Simple, collectors and investors are buying Soviet Jewelry. We also noticed many newly listed Soviet Gold pieces, that are not only well prices but are quite exquisite as well. Without a doubt this market is heating up, which we predict will only increase as the winter holidays come closer. Later in the day, as new items were listed for sale the total amount of Soviet Gold listings grew back to 58, however even that is still lower than just a week ago. A clear trend is emerging. The abundance of Soviet Jewelry is falling and prices are going up. There are two indicators for that. The total number of weekly listings [of course] and a substantial amount of newly listed Soviet Gold pieces for sale. Again as winter holidays approach, the value of Soviet Jewelry will only increase and as experience shows, once it does, it almost never comes down. On average, Soviet Gold only increases in value year after year. That is why it's prudent to purchase Soviet Gold and Silver Jewelry right now. In fact, it looks like investors and collectors did just that when there was a slight drop in prices last week (see our 10/10/2013 market report: "BUYERS ALERT - MASSIVE DROP OF SOVIET GOLD!") many took advantage of that and purchased quite a few Soviet Gold items, most likely creating this current shortage.
